Reviews
Ò[Kerplinkus] delivers a fresh take on the formula that's simple and highly challenging Ñ in fact, it can be downright panic inspiring. It's a pretty frantic affair.Ó -Blake of Touch Arcade
ÒKerplinkus promises retro take on match-based puzzle play... mixing the old with the new... [in] a distinctly old skool flavour.Ó -Keith Andrews of Pocket Gamer
ÒIs very, very addictive. Prying yourself away from the game proves very difficult. It has high replay potential and will offer many hours of entertainment.... This is a must-buy for casual puzzle game players.Ó -Linda Ta of AppSafari
ÒIf you love playing casual puzzle games on your iPhone or iPod touch such as Bejewelled or Trism then [this] is definitely worth taking a look at.... If games like Pac Man, Space Invaders and Tetris still have a place in your heart then Kerplinkus could definitely find its way on to your homescreen.Ó -Phil Wheeler of AppAdvice
ÒThis tile-matching game sets itself well apart from competing products, due to its hectic gameplay, muted art style, and classic SID-chip soundtrack.... It is actually very different from the normal mode of thinking.... A really nice effort by the crew at Binary Square.Ó

Description
Kerplinkus is a completely new take on the casual puzzle game. Simple to learn. Difficult to master. It's like spinning plates. You must focus on ALL 8 columns or 1 will grow out-of-control. No match 3. No movement restrictions. No special-blocks. Swap ANY 2 blocks anywhere, anytime. Just focus on removing blocks, not creating them.

I hope you like it. Have fun and good luck!

Definitions
Block - A square object rising from the ground.

Particle - A smaller square object with a tail falling from the sky.

Chain Block - Any block adjacent to another block of the same color, (not diagonally).

Basics
1. Selecting Blocks:
Touch a block to select, touch the same block again to deselect.

2. Swapping Blocks:
Select a block, then select ANY other block. The 2 blocks will exchange places.

3. Removing Blocks: (GOOD!)
If a particle impacts a block of the same color, both the particle and the block, plus any chain blocks will be spectacularly removed, adding points to the score and all blocks will stop rising for a brief time.

4. Creating Blocks: (BAD!)
If a particle impacts a block of a different color, the particle is transformed into a block. This is NOT desirable.

5. Game Over:
The game is over when a column of blocks reaches the top of the screen, or in timed mode when the timer reaches 0:00.

6. Bonus Counter:
On the top right corner of the screen is the bonus counter. Each group of blocks that are removed (GOOD!) adds 1 to the bonus counter (maximum of 9). Each block that is created (BAD!) subtracts 2 from the bonus counter. Throughout the game, the score is multiplied by the bonus counter.

7. Pause Game:
While playing, touch the pause button on the top left corner of the screen, or press the home button on your iPhone/iPod touch.

Strategies
1. Grouping Blocks:
Create a chain of blocks to remove several at a time.

2. Tunneling Blocks:
Create a group of blocks that run up a tall column to get back in the game.

3. More Blocks:
Touch the score bar at the bottom of the screen to cause the blocks to rise quicker.

4. High Scores:
Earn more points by creating and removing longer chains of blocks and maxing out the bonus counter.
